if you need something later
Nothing on this page is something you need to buy. It is here so that if you want another copy, or the storyteller finishes their workbook a year from now, or something happens, you already know what it costs and how long it takes.
The Keepsake Upgrade — $146
You bought the workbook, they filled it in, and now you would like it as a hardback with their own handwriting on the page. Post the workbook back to us. We photograph every page at high resolution, the pale ruling drops away, and their handwriting is bound into a finished book.
Six to eight weeks from the day it reaches us. The clock starts when the workbook arrives, not when you order.
This one never expires. It works from the workbook itself rather than from a file we are holding, so it does not matter whether they filled it in last spring or nine years ago.
More copies — $35 each
Additional copies are $35 each, or $45 in large print. A second workbook is $25.
Families often want one each — order them together and they ship together. It is easiest at the moment you approve the finished book, but you can ask at any point while we hold your book file, which is twelve months from delivery.
After twelve months
We stop holding the file. If you want copies after that, the book has to be made again from the workbook: a flat restore fee of $95, then copies at the published price.
This is the one thing on this page worth knowing in advance rather than finding out later. If you think anyone else in the family will want a copy, the cheap moment is while we still have the file.
If the storyteller has died
If you need copies for a funeral or a memorial, tell us, and they go ahead of everything else, at the usual $35 a copy ($45 in large print). We will have the files with the printer within five working days, and usually sooner.
If the book isn’t finished yet, tell us anyway, and we will make every attempt to have copies ready in time. The printing and the post aren’t in our hands, so tell us the date you need them by. We will tell you honestly whether it can be met before you pay anything.
Changing your mind
Before we start making anything, tell us and you get a full refund. Before we start means before your book file goes to the printer, or before the first interview conversation.
How to get any of it
Pick what you need above and pay for it there and then. If you would rather just ask, email hello@tellmeagainbooks.com and say what you want — messages come to me, not to a team, and I answer within two working days.
